ANGELA LANCASTER, HEART CENTERED THERAPIST

IN FL, CA, TN

I believe with compassionate support and encouragement, we are all capable of healing and growth. I’m here to help you get there.

Are you ready to create some meaningful, long-lasting change in your life?

You’re in the right place.

Many clients who come to me have been in therapy before but felt they didn’t get much out of it, only scratched the surface, or got only temporary relief only to see the same or similar problems come back. I want you to experience something different here. I want you to not only see the changes but feel the change happening inside of you. We will create a compassionate, safe space where we will explore what is troubling you and the impact it is having on your life. With time and curiosity, we will gain insight and awareness of any patterns there and what is at the root of it. We begin to become aware of the past hurts, unresolved feelings, and negative beliefs that perpetuate these troubling patterns. And then we will find ways to help you release the painful feelings and integrate more positive beliefs about yourself. Real healing and meaningful change emerges as you begin to see and understand yourself differently allowing you to flow through life with more peace and ease.

Let’s be real…change is hard and sometimes painful but so is waking up nearly every day knowing you are not living the life you want and just getting by. And here’s the good news… you don’t have to do it alone. I will be on that journey with you serving as a gentle guide, holding up a light in the darkness, helping to uncover your strengths and inner resources, and doing victory dances with each small success. There will be laughter and tears and hopefully many “aha” moments but most importantly there will be real sighs of relief and a new found sense of hope and peace when you realize what you are truly capable of.

If you are ready to do the work and create real change in your life, I hope you will allow me the honor to support you on that journey.

The journey of a thousand miles

begins with a

single step.

-Lao Tzu

Therapy with me isn’t all sitting & talking.

We’ll get to the root of the patterns and challenges you experience so you can truly heal and create lasting change.

This is how we get there:

  • Explore how the past is showing up in the present.

  • Incorporate the mind, body, and emotional experience to begin to understand yourself differently.

  • Co-create a space of compassion and curiosity.

  • Support you to reconnect with your inner strength and resiliency.

  • Integrate new positive beliefs, feelings and internalized sense of safety that creates real change inside of you.

My core values

I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the core of effective therapy and clients achieving their goals and healing their pain. It’s because of this that I emphasize these core vales of compassion, empathy and collaboration as I believe it’s what makes me an effective therapist. My knowledge, skills, and experience are valuable to helping my clients get the results they are looking for but for true healing and change to happen one needs a therapist they connect with, trust, and accepts them as they are. These are the ways in which I will build that kind of relationship with you…

Compassion

Compassionate support allows you to experience warmth, kindness, and care as we explore your pain, struggles, and challenges. And to know you are not alone.

Whatever you are bringing into this space with me will be met with non-judgement, acceptance, and understanding.

You are likely struggling with self-criticism and negative self-talk. Through my compassionate approach it is my hope that you will develop a more compassionate and accepting attitude toward yourself.

Empathy

Empathy is an important tool that helps me connect with you on a deeper level, and gain a genuine understanding of your unique thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for you to fully express yourself. I use my empathy skills to accurately reflect and validate your feelings which allows you to build trust in me that I truly get it.

I believe this is a key component in developing an effective therapeutic relationship that allows the real healing to happen.

Collaboration

Collaborative approach to therapy means we are co-creators of this process. Therapy should feel like something that happens with you, not to you.

You are the expert on you even if it might not feel that way sometimes. I honor the wisdom you bring to this process and want to encourage you to trust your own intuition more in your life.

I will be actively seeking your feedback about your experience in therapy and want to know what is and isn’t working for you.

My ongoing learning and development is important to me. I’m forever looking for ways to improve my ability to meet my clients needs.
